“Dear Scarlett! You aren't helpless. Anyone as selfish and determined as you are is never helpless orders. God help the Yankees if they should get you.” -Rhett Butler
Everyone knows this iconic story, and this is one of the early editions! It was originally published in 1936, and there's something I love about buying an old book from the time the author was still celebrating its successes.
It was published by The Macmillan Company, in New York. It was copyrighted, in 1936, by the publisher.
This was printed in the United States, in 1938, American Book-Stratford Press, Inc. In New York.
This book is in very good vintage condition! The covers have some scratches and scuff marks. There is wear to the edges and corners, and there is quite a bit of wear on the hinges. There is some cracking and webbing showing on the title page. This book was well loved. Please look at the pictures.
There is some slight staining on the back. The spine has quite a wobble, but it is a large book.
There was an inscription inside the front cover, but someone went over it with marker :/
There is no other marking through the book, and the binding is tight.
