* This piece was inspired by old copper weather vanes. I tried to achieve a copper patina look through multiple layers of paint and copper powder and copper leaf. Since this piece contains some real copper it may develop its own patina over time.

*Monotypes are basically paintings or drawings on a matrix that are then transferred onto paper either by hand or through a press.

*For this piece I painted layers of acrylic paint onto a slab of gelatin and used a stencil from my original sketch to form the image then transferred it onto paper in layers by hand burnishing. I added copper powder and copper leaf flakes while the paint was still wet on the paper.

*This piece is sold unframed and is shipped mounted to a backing board in cello bag in a sturdy box. orders
