Designed in 1977 and in production 1978-1987.

Cylindrical form, with extended and curved rim, decorated with light amber particles and bubbles, cased in clear glass.

In very good condition with minor signs of wear mainly to the base.

*Björn Weckström (1935 - ) Finnish sculptor, jewellery and glass designer. You might find it interesting that in 1977, he was hired by Star Wars creator George Lucas to design an original piece of jewelry that would become Leia Organa's Ceremonial Necklace in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. However, due to time constraints, Lucas was forced to buy a ready piece of jewelry from Weckström's catalogue, and he chose the "Planetary Valleys" necklace.
