CULVER Chip Bowl Clear Glass Gold Overlay Floral Leaf 4.75” x 10” orders RETRO

We are pleased to offer this fabulous CULVER chip bowl. Founded in Brooklyn, NY in 1939, Culver Ltd. (commonly known as Culver Glass) is an American glass manufacturer. The company orders produced over 75 glassware patterns, but is best known for its mid-century designs. Most of its glassware patterns featured 22k gold gild. The Culver signature appeared on most of its mid-century designs. At first, Culver's mid-century glassware was signed in script. Later, the company turned to block lettering followed by gold foil labels carrying the Culver signature. The company stopped producing its gold overlay pieces in the 1980s and was sold to Moderne Glass Company in 1996.
This large chip bowl is a veritable feast for the eyes with its heavy, raised gold, floral and leaf pattern beneath a solid band of gold. It is quite extraordinary! This amazing bowl measures approximately 4.75” tall by approximately 10” in diameter across the top. It is in fine, vintage condition with no chips or cracks, but with gold loss around the rim and some minor loss in the flowers and leaves.
