Vintage Art Deco style jet black beaded evening bag made in Belgium for Strawbridge & Clothier, Philadelphia (see label in last photo). Handle is also beaded. The bag has some heft due to all the beads. Firm fit on metal clasp.

Good vintage condition. Satin lining is intact and like new.

Note: A few beads fell loose from the bottom of the bag but I used a orders tiny bit of fabric glue to seal the spot and it seems fine now (see last photo - the spot is barely visible). I also used a tiny bit of glue on another spot where a thread was loose to prevent beads from dropping there. It is difficult to predict whether other beads will fall, due to the age of the bag and the fact that the thread holding the beads weakens over time. This is reflected in the price.
