Dark Green Mandala orders Plate

This is a completely one of a kind, handmade, dark green mandala plate. This piece features a swirling floral and leaf pattern. All of my work is created in my home studio and fired in an electric kiln orders to cone 6. As with all handmade items, slight irregularities in size, shape, and color are to be expected, and serve only to enhance the unique beauty of each piece. No two pieces are exactly alike! The decoration is done with a technique called sgraffito, where an image is created by carving, freehand, through a layer of underglaze to reveal the color of the clay body.
