Vintage traditional bracelet charm in sterling silver, with padlock fastening and safety chain 1965

The bracelet measures about 200 mm, about 8 inches long and is about 7 mm, about 5/16" wide.

A curb bracelet, every link is marked with the lion passant, the UK assay mark for sterling silver

It weighs 23.9 grams.

Fully hallmarked for sterling silver. Assayed in Birmingham in 1965, maker is WJS, probably William J Sutton.


Very good vintage used condition.



Most vintage sterling silver charms manufactured in the UK are unmarked and made of sterling silver, the UK silver standard.

Items made after 1973 should have a hallmark if over the minimum weight requirement of 7.8 grams for sterling silver, older pieces are generally unmarked, marked silver or sterling silver, or fully hallmarked.
