My handmade tie tacks are the final touch to a great suit.

I make my tie tacks with all the care and attention to design I use in my large statement pieces, yet they are only about 1-2 cm. Each tie pin is made individually from solid copper, bronze, stainless steel and/or silver jewelry wire and has a high quality brass base. The tacks incorporate a variety of wire jewelry techniques such as wire weaving, cold forging and wire wrapping. I also often use gemstones or resin, depending on the piece. Some tie tacks are oxidized to give them a dark, industrial patina, which is then hand buffed and polished until I get the effect I want. All pieces are sealed with a professional protective coating.

This one-of-a-kind tie tack is crafted from bronze and copper jewelry wire. It features grade A optical glass cat's eye and has a brass base. The oval cat's eye changes from white to arctic silver as it catches the light. The "above tie" measurements are orders 1.7cm x 1cm x 4mm.

How they came about:

My lawyer friend was looking for a way to give some personality to his conservative wardrobe of dark suits and asked me to make him some tie tacks. I said I thought my style would be a little much for the court room and he said that's the point. He wanted something to add a little flair to his wardrobe, but not stand out too much. My tie pins turned out to be just the thing.
